Graduating from FAU with an M.Ed. in 2009, Dr. Whitco worked as a full-time Florida educator while studying as a full-time student. She completed an applied principal internship at the high-school level and helped design and implement a secondary pre-law curriculum, including international law coursework. With experience in Florida suburban, urban, rural, traditional and charter school settings, Dr. Whitco completed her studies in education at NSU and graduated with an Ed.D. in 2022. She researched and developed the School Superintendency Longevity Survey© for school districts focused on the problem of high turnover in the role of school superintendent, functional disruption, decreased morale, and impaired student achievement. 

Dr. Whitco continues to enjoy swimming and tennis, among other interests, and resides in Palm Beach County, Florida, with her wife and their beloved dogs.
