Co-Editor of the NYS Real Property Journal, VP Communications for the ABA student division, Phi Delta Phi international legal honor society member, applied legal intern in the litigation division for the Office of NYS Attorney General in downtown Manhattan where she researched and drafted opinions related to Kosher food laws and state ownership rights of the Statue of Liberty, Dr. Whitco was also an applied legal intern in the superfund division at the USEPA, also in downtown Manhattan, where she researched and drafted opinions on toxic torts before she completed her law studies at St. John's and earned her JD there in 1999. 

Dr. Whitco practiced tort, contract, commercial and real property law in New York, where she was admitted to the U.S. District Courts in Eastern and Southern New York, and in Florida (Berns & Castro; Silverman, Perlstein & Acamporo, LLP; Grossman & Associates, PLLC; Bruno, Gerbino & Soriano, LLP; Katzman & Korr, LLP) and waived into the DC Bar before beginning a career expansion into education. 

Graduating from FAU with an M.Ed. in 2009, Dr. Whitco worked as a full-time Florida educator during her studies and completed an applied principal internship at the high-school level. She also designed and implemented a secondary pre-law curriculum, including international law coursework.
